There is definetly a significant amount of mis-information put out regarding Zero Voc as being THE safer alternative. There is actually not a lot truth in that.  Just because something has no VOC does not make it healthier for you.  A couple quick examples of this are acetone(nail-polish remover) and ammonia.  We all know how dangerous and harmful these products are and yet they both are considered to have zero VOCs. What has happened in this industry is that most paint companies have tried to jump on the "green" paint bandwagon by taking one of their normal products and pulling out things until it hits "zero voc".    Once they take this stuff out, the product obviously will not work as well or why put the added expence into it in the first place.  AFM Safecoat on the other hand started out building a product from scratch with low VOC in mind.  If you took off the label and just used the paint you would swear it was a premium, high end coating.  With this in mind do not be afraid to use something that says low VOC as long as it is a "healthy" built product like AFM.   I hope this info helps.  If not please do not hesitate to contact us.  sales@coloramapaint.com
